Does the T300 need a hub ?

And, if I dont have the hub, will I get instant notifications in the smart phone App - if a leak is detected ?

To install Tapo T300, a Tapo smart hub is required. When the sensor detects water leak, there are app push notification, alarm ringing on the sensor itself, and the alarm on the hub.
