Hi,

I have a problem connecting to the Internet with the BE550. My internet provider is ‘Deutsche Giganetz’.

Provided PPPoE Internet access data are user name, password and VLAN ID = 7. In addition, the router for the IPv4 connection must be set to DS-Lite.

I have tried various configurations and the firmware Archer BE550_V1_1.0.8 Build 20240827 (Beta version) without success.

Do you have any ideas or is the configuration as requested by ‘Deutsche Giganetz’ not possible with the current firmware?

Below is the working configuration from the Firtzbox.

@Cooop

Thank you very much for asking the community.

Please try the following steps and confirm if it will connect to the internet:

1. Update and install the beta firmware we provided in this thread.

2. Log in to the BE550's web interface page, go to Advanced > Network > Internet, choose DS-Lite as the Internet Connection Type, leave the AFTR Name as Auto, and save it.

3. Go to IPTV/VLAN, enable IPTV/VLAN, and configure Internet VLAN ID 7 as follows, then save it.

4. Go to IPv6, choose PPPoE as the Internet Connection Type, enter the username and password provided by your provider, and then save it.

Please follow the above sequence to finish the configuration, then check if the internet will work.

  @Kevin_Z

Thank you very much for the respond. I installed the beta firmware and was able to connect successfully to my ISP.

Unfortunately, I now have another problem with devices connected via LAN. My PC gets only an ipv6 adress and no ipv4. (Online ipv6-test)

This means that many websites cannot be accessed at all or only very slowly. Devices connected over WLAN have ipv4 and work without problems.

I then connected the Fritzbox again and there my LAN devices also receive an ipv4 address.

@Cooop

Thank you very much for getting back and confirming that you're now successfully connected to Deutsche Giganetz's DS Lite.

Regarding the IPv4 issue on the LAN-connected device, we will investigate and provide a solution or workaround as soon as we can.

BTW, I checked your email response, and there are no issues with the follow-up. No worries.laugh
