Hello!

I just bought the AX55 Pro 2 days ago - before I got it I was confident that it would have DoH and DoT since the more basic version of this router - the AX55 has it, but I see that my AX55 PRO doesn't seem to have it when I go to Advanced - Internet. Is there any plan to update this router to support DoH and DoT? Is there a beta firmware I can install?

  @Joseph-TP The firmware update with DoH and DoT has arrived finally on AX55 PRO v1.. even tho it has been almost a year since I made the request. Thanks!

 Hi @rotty,

I consulted with the technicians and found out that this model is planned to support DoH and DoT in the future, but the future release time and whether the relevant firmware will be released may also be adjusted according to the actual situation.

  @rotty can please ploidy your people to work harder. We all fear that if Trump bans TPlink. We will not have this feature. Jan 20th is the deadline.

It is beginning to feel as if TP-Link creates a "new" hardware version from a basic model throwing in a couple of attractive features, labels it "Pro" to give it something to market then leaves it hanging in the wind when it comes to firmware updates and capabilities that it adds to the "basic" version. This is not the first time I have had a "Pro" model with decidely inferior capabilities than it's "Basic" stablemate. Why on earth is it necessary to add something as desireable as encrypted DNS as a "feature request" on the PRO version almost a year after the Basic model already got it? Seems spending more actually gets you less.
