Deco XE75 VPN Client always Connecting
I have the following setup:
- Optical internet provider (Europe) - 500Mbps/500Mbps DL/UL
- ZTE ZXHN F601Optical Network Terminal (ONT)
- Deco XE75 connected via LAN cable (port 1) to ONT
- devices connect through WiFi to the Deco XE75
I am trying to setup NordVPN Client on Deco: login with token, on next step download desired server config file, upload it and successfully save connection. But VPN Client status is always Connecting:
If i try to connect to the same server from NordVPN PC App or Android phone - everything works well! Tried all suggestions from "Troubleshooting VPN Issues on Deco" thread - no results.
I even created PureVPN account, logged in, selected desired server and successfully saved connection. Still status the same - always Connecting:
If i try to connect to the same server from PureVPN PC App or Android phone - everything works well!
Any other suggestions for this problem?

Hi, Thank you very much for the feedback.
For NordVPN, instead of using the embed NordVPN configuration guide, have you tried to manually install NordVPN to see whether it helped?
I'd like to follow up on your case via email in case I need to consult the senior engineer for further assistance.
Please check whether you can receive my email later.
Best regards.

Hi, Thanks for the feedback.
Which VPN server do you plan to connect? NordVPN or something else?
Wait for your reply and best regards.

Thanks for the feedback.
I saw the engineer suggested the OP do the following modifications to the VPN config file. Could you please check whether it helps:
Open the configuration file with notepad.
Remove the option 'auth-user-pass' and save the file.
Re-import the modified configuration file and try connecting once more.
If it didn't help, could you please send an email to support.forum@tp-link.com with the following details:
- A copy of the new VPN client config file.
- The system logs from the web UI when the VPN client fails to be connected- https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/kb/detail/412520
( please try to save the system log as soon as the VPN Client fails to connect)
Wait for your reply and best regards.

@David-TP deleting auth-user-pass line , saving and uploading the file, from both token and user/pass connection, stays in connecting, will send the email
