Model: Deco M5
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: 1.7.8 Build 20240719 Real 70981

In a fairly long building, I have 3 Deco M5s in line. The main one at one end of the building, the second one in the middle and the third one at the other end.

The one in the middle regularly (two or three times a week) loses connection with the main one (the LED flashes red). Of course, as a result, the third, which depends on the second, also loses the network.

Simply unplug the second Deco, then plug it back in, and the third Deco is back on line.

What could cause the second Deco to lose the link and not regain the network on its own, without having to disconnect it electrically?

Thanks for any idea

  @LRBT

Hi, welcome to our community.

You may refer to this guide to adjust the location of your Decos: How can I find a suitable spot for my Deco?

For your situation, to exclude the issue is only from your second Deco, it is suggested to swap the location between your second and third Deco.

If the problem still happens on the new second Deco, that means the reason may be from environmental interference instead of Deco itself.

  @Marvin_S

Thanks for your advice Marvin.
I've just swapped the 2 Decos and will wait to see what happens over time.
For information, the signal between each Deco is indicated as “average”, two green bars for the wifi signal. But this was already the case before.

I'll give an update here.

Best regards,
