Model: Archer AX10
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: 1.3.10

So recently I wanted to start using OpenVPN. I set up open VPN, I manually opened port 1194 and I tried to set up DDNS. First problem I encoutered is that port 1194 is not opened even though it should be. Another problem is that when I try to set up DDNS using tp-link service, I write down the desired domain name it fails with error "request timed out". I tried to use NO-IP sevice but it does not work either.

Hi,

Given your problem description the first thing I recommend to do is to verify your Archer AX10 is being assigned a public IPv4 Internet address.

If you are not sure what I mean, then log into the webpage of your Archer AX10 and let us know the two leftmost sections of its "Internet IP Address". (what I circled in red in the picture below)

The IP addresses in the range 10.0.0.0 - 10.255.255.255 are so-called private IP addresses.

This is the reason why your efforts have been unsuccessful. (private IP addresses can't be reached over the Internet)

Does your Archer AX10 happen to be connected to a LAN port of another Wi-Fi router that was supplied by your Internet Service Provider?

If not, then you can only contact your ISP and explain them what you are trying to do. (i.e. setup a VPN server at home to be able to connect to your home network from abroad)
Whether they are willing to assign a public IPv4 address to your broadband connection is up to them.
