Sunday
Model: Deco X73-DSL
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.0.12 Build 20240517 Rel. 64015

For some reason my NBN connection keeps dropping since using the X73-DSL. If I turn off the modem/router for a minute and turn it back on, the connection comes back. It happens randomly, but I see this issue at least 5 times a day at the moment, and it's really interfering with my WFH job. I've tried downgrading the firmware to a lower version,turning various features on/off, as well as removing devices from the network ports, but the issue persists.

I've combed through the logs, and this matches the time of one of the disconnections:

Sun Jan  5 19:14:10 2025 daemon.err conn-indicator: [ci_check_dslmode] ci_check_dslmode : 1.: No such file or directory

Not sure if it's relevant, but that's the only part that looks different to the rest.

If anyone has an suggestions of anything else to try, I would be very grateful!

  @Bedz

Hi, Thank you very much for the feedback.

Did you save the system logs before restarting the Deco X73-DSL?

I don't think it is relevant to the disconnection issue.

I saw you also commented on the other post. May I know your internet service provider as well?

Have you seen Deco X73-DSL turn red during the disconnection?

Could you please also submit a support ticket via email (please add forum ID#733038 in the subject)and add the following details:

1. The DSL status when Deco X73-DSL dropped the connection -How to check DSL sync status on Deco DSL model

2. A copy of the web system log before restarting the Deco.

Wait for your reply and best regards.

Yesterday

@David-TP, thanks for your reply.

My ISP is Launtel.

The modem indeed turns red when the disconnect happens.

I'll raise a ticket now.

The disconnects all seem to add similar data to the logs:

I'll attach the full logs to the ticket, is the 'error' log the right one to attach?
