Model: Deco X55
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.2.10

My Deco x55 is a v1.30  US.

The last firmware avaliable on app is 1.2.10 Build 20241105 Rel 40010

When I search at website I found firmware for version v1, v1.26 and 1.60. Which of those I can apply on my v1.30?

Thanks

  @RodrigoBR

Welcome to the community. I'm afraid it can't use either of them. And currently, 1.2.10 is the latest firmware version for Deco X55_V1.3.

best regards.

  @Raniera

Hi, welcome to the community.

Here is some basic information:

Vx.0=Vx.6, such as V1.0/V1.6, V1.20/V1.26, x.6/x.8 is used to identify the place of production.

Deco X55/Deco X50_V1/V1.2 with their latest firmware versions support PPTP/L2TP/Open and WireGuard VPN protocols..

Deco X55/X50_V1.3 only supports PPTP/L2TP/OpenVPN protocols, not WireGuard yet.

V1.2 and V1.3 are not ISP-supplied models, and they can also be purchased online, such as from Amazon.

Best regards.

  @David-TP

 Why this version v1.30 being disowned and not having the same support as other versions?

  @RodrigoBR This is getting confusing!

So from what i gather version 1 and 1.6 hardware have updates and support vpn and wireguard! versions 1.26 and 1.30 are useless as are isp supplied deco units.

Tp link could you put all of this in plain english please?

  @Raniera except my v1.26 was purchased not isp provided. Still useless though. Will never buy another tp link product. How can a company have such vast differences in hardware versions and capability in the same products without notifying users that not all products are created equal. Total shiit

  @David-TP Do you have an ETA as to when WireGuard will be supported on V1.32?

  @David-TP

"Vx.0=Vx.6, such as V1.0/V1.6, V1.20/V1.26, x.6/x.8 is used to identify the place of production."

This is very confusing.  Is it possible to please re-explain this?

I notice as time moves along the Version # increases.  For example I have an old RE605X V1.6 (from memory as it is the middle of the night here right now).

Later models are listed on the Firmware download page as:

V3.8

V3.6

V3

V2.26

V2.20

V1

So for my version I choose V1 for the appropriate firmware.  But you are saying these V**** mean place of manufacture?  It boggles the mind how many factories TP-Link has if that is true...

  @David-TP It has been my understanding that numbers after the "." are read in order, so:

V1.6 (one point six) is actually an older model than V1.26 (one point twenty-six).  At first glance one may initially think, like I did, that .6 is newer model than .26 because 6 is higher than 2....

  @jzchen

Maybe you can directly replace "6/8" with "0"

So V1.6=V1.8=V1.0

V1.26=V1.28=V1.20

Best regards.
