Model: Tapo C510W
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

We have this new camera and an older model. When we try to connect via the app to WiFi it either doesn't find our wifi or if it does it says wrong password (even though we've checked it loads of times) and to contact WiFi provider. After spending over an hour onto the phone at virgin, they've said as far as they can see everything of theirs is fine and we need to pay a tenner to get help from them to fix this problem. Before we upgraded our wifi router we never had an issue connecting our cameras. We've tried resetting everything, turning off the firewall, reinstalling the app, using both an android and apple phone but no joy. Any ideas welcomed!

Tapo camera supports 2.4GHz only, if your WiFi is a 2.4GHz and 5GHz combined network, try to separate a 2.4GHz WiFi for the camera, or disable 5GHz temporarily.

Make sure there is no special symbol on the wifi name and password. Don't use auto-fill when entering the wifi password.

You can double-check the wifi password in this way: forget/delete this WiFi profile on your phone and reconnect it, now you will need to enter the password to join the wifi. Check if you can reconnect the WiFi successfully. How to remove existing wireless network profile on Android&iPhone
