network adapter not detected on second computer
Region : UnitedKingdom
Model : TD-8840T
Hardware Version : V4
Firmware Version :
ISP : BT
Hello, I have a TD-8840T ASDL2+ wired modem router which I already use on my desktop PC to connect to the internet with no problem. I recently bought a new laptop which I would like to use the same router for, and so I bought a RJ45 Ethernet cable and plugged one end into the new laptop and the other into the modem router. However, no matter what I do, it will not connect. It says that the network adapter cannot be detected, even though the Ethernet cables are plugged in and the internet still works on my desktop. I don't understand what I have to do, and any advice would be appreciated. many thanks :)
