Archer VR2100v(DE) V1

Background Introduction

Recently, some German users provided feedback that after upgrading to 1.18.0 0.9.1 v009e.0 Build 241018 Rel.43535n, the IPv6 connectivity of their devices (such as mobile phones and computers) is unstable. For example, they cannot ping IPv6 addresses or access IPv6 websites. Some users also reported that there was no network when connecting to WiFi, or the WiFi was disconnected quickly.

Note: These users usually take dual-stack (IPv4 and IPv6) or DS-Lite lines for internet access.

Recommended Solution

It is suggested to upgrade to the following Beta firmware to see if it can solve the problem:

Archer VR2100v(DE)_V1_20241212

Note:

Please be sure you have read the Terms and Conditions for TP-Link Beta Firmware before proceeding.

The download link above contains the firmware and manual upgrade instructions.

We appreciate your patient waiting for new official firmware which will fix the problem.

If the suggestion above does not work, please feel free to let us know with detailed description about your situation~

Any chance of this firmware ever leaving beta?

  @Marvin_S

This beta firmware just fixed a bug where after switching the router operation mode from "DSL modem router" to "Wireless router" some of my smartphones couldn't connect anymore to the Wifi. No Wifi settings were altered and I saw in the system logs that there was some issue with the DHCP.

Thanks for that!

Anyway, for such critical bugs it would be good to have an official release.
