Firmware Version : 1.0.5 Build 140821 Rel.52209
ISP : UPC Ireland
Hey everyone,
I'm having a wee issue that I'm hoping you can solve. I'm trying to use a TD-W8968 as an AP (192.168.1.4), but it's only working intermittently.
On the AP the DHCP server is disabled, so is IGMP Snooping. I see no options for a firewall. I'm using LAN3 as LAN4 expects a WAN connection. I've removed all WAN services.
Occasionally when trying to connect to it I can't acquire a valid IP address (169.x.x.x). And at these times, if I connect through my Cisco EPC3925 (main modem/router - 192.168.1.1) or Belkin N300 (access point - 192.168.1.2) I get internet access, but I can't connect to the TP-Link settings page through the network. So it's likely the TP-Link stops communicating with my modem.
Notes -
My Cisco DHCP starts at 192.168.1.10
[*]I rang customer support before I opened the box, they said it would work.
[*]Both AP's are connected via ethernet (not trying to use as WiFi Extender)
