Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.1.3

No no regular updates! No schedule. No info.

 

Latest firmware 1.1.3 for the x50-4g V1 was released a year ago! Fw date 20231228.

 

In september 2024 a TP Link representatove wrote in another thread: New firmware (security) update on it's way - just need a little bit more testing...

 

The Deco x50 V1 (without lite/4g) is running fw 1.6.x so buyers of the x50-4g is handed a product with way to few updates and they are missing out on features as well.

 

Stay away TP Link potential buyers!P TP Link can not be trusted to keep products updated and safe. Do not recommend!!!

Hi, Thank you very much for the feedback.

The Deco X50-4G_V1 was initially launched in June 2022. There were several firmware upgrades later. The network gateway models, like Deco-LTE/DSL, are more complicated than the standard version. Its firmware release cycle also takes much longer.

If there are any potential security risks, before this model is officially stated as "end of life", there will be an update to address security vulnerability.

For new advanced features, we recommend that users upgrade to newer hardware to access enhanced functionality.
