Region : UnitedKingdom

Model : TL-WDR4300

Hardware Version : Not Clear

Firmware Version :

ISP : BT infinity

I am new to setting up routers/modems but I have just upgraded to BT infinity am attempting to set up my TD-W9980 router to access my security cameras on static IP 192.168 .2 100. This worked perfectly with my ADSL connection.
When I attempt to forward the port from my DDSL on 8080 to my cameras on port 80 I get the following message, " address is not in same subnet at LAN ip" and it will not forward the port. Why?

You should modify the camera's IP to 192.168.1.100 if W9980's IP is still 192.168.1.1...
If you have to use 192.168.2.100 for the camera, you should change IP address of W9980 to 192.168.2.1.
Anyway, they should be in the same subnet as the error message indicates.

As @Vivian said, you need to change the camera's IP address to the same subnet as the TD-W9980

Hi, thanks for your replies.
I have found a solution that works but I am not sure why.
If I forward the port to the LAN address that the camera DVD is connected it works without mentioning the DVD IP.
