Access Point
I have just installed a Re700x as an access point and turned off WiFi on my SFR router. After a while some of my apps are no longer able to access the internet, but the majority are ok. If I reboot they work then a while then later do not. They are the same ones each time. This happens on both an a Samsung phone and tablet running android 14, one using WiFi5 and the other using WiFi6.
I first had default settings on the network, then changed a few things but no joy.
Anyone know a way round this?
Chris

Thanks@Chris86500,
From your description, the router's network may also have connection stability issues. I suggest you contact the router's support to check network connectivity first.
On the range extender, please try to:
- Check whether DHCP is turned off to avoid IP conflicts: go to Settings--Network--DHCP server settings
- Adjust the placement of the router to avoid metal/electrical appliances blocking it.
- Try to change the channel to an idle channel, such as 1/6/11 for 2.4GHz and 36/48/149 for 5GHz to avoid radar interference areas. For channel width, set 2.4GHz to 20MHz or 40Mhz and 5GHz to 80MHz.
- Set other unit as Access Point, is there any improvement compared to RE700X?
- Finally, make sure the firmware of the router and range extender are updated to the latest version.

Hi@Chris86500,
Thank you for reporting your issue to our community.
May I know why did you turn off the Wi-Fi of your router? For your issue, please try the following suggestions:
- Change DNS server of the router to be Google DNS.
- Set the 2.4G and 5G separately, then test the network to see if the issue happens on 2 bands?
- Enable the Wi-Fi of the router, and connect some clients to the router's Wi-Fi.
In addition, may I know what are clients and how many clients do you have at all?

Thanks for the reply.
I have turned off the WiFi of the router as it it is positioned inside a cupboard and I have purchased the re700x to act as an access point so the whole of the house is covered, it's connected by ethernet and just outside the cupboard.
When you say router I assume you mean the one connected to the fibre input.
I have changed the DNS primary and secondary in DHCP server primary networks, this had no effect.
I have enabled the 2.4 and 5G separately and together. In each case after the change is saved the apps work for about 10 minutes then cannot find internet.
I turned on router WiFi and connected some devices to it, the apps all worked for more than 10 mins.
We have smart TV, Chromecast, Amazon fire stick, printer, 2 Samsung galaxy tablets (WiFi6), 2 Samsung galaxy phones (WiFi5) and a Windows PC.
Both the tablets are phones are affected,as far as I can tell all others work ok.

Also when I tested using the router I had to unplug the access point as they both have the same WiFi name. When i turned it back on the apps did not work on the phone but didn't stop working on the tablet until several hours later.
