I have a TP-Link router (Model Number TD-W8951ND) and I am struggling to make it work. it was working initially and all of the sudden it stopped working. It is showing very weird behavior
Following are the issues with the router

1. First three leds light continuously as soon as router is turned on (It should take a while if its working)
2. Wifi signal led is not lighting. I tried toggling wifi button at the back of the router but all in vain.
3. I tried to reset by pressing the reset button for 5-6 seconds. But no effect on router.
4. I cannot browse router configuration page with ip http://192.168.1.1 . The browser says the page is not found.
5. I tried unplugging and then plugging all the cables, but in vain.
6. I tried turning router on and off continuously and after a gap of several hours, still in vain.

What's wrong with the router? How can I fix this?
Any help will be appreciated

Sound like faulty.
IP addres obtained on your PC is 169.254...? Keep hold the reset button for 15 seconds. If it won't help, it should be faulty. Is it still under warranty?

Reboot router and switch off UPnP for test

Same problem with TD-W8901N

I am facing the same problem with TD-W8901N.
Sometimes the first 3 LEDs glow and the modem is stuck there and does'nt process further.
Even if I remove DSL cable, DSL LED glows. Does'nt even detect ethernet port on which PC is connected or a faint LED glows on a random port whether or not PC is connected to that port.
I contacted support and changed ADSL to G.DMT, still the problem remains.
How is your problem now, is it solved?

A brand new modem or it was working?
It should be solved with the replacement.

I have the same problem. The router turns on but no lights except the power light. I heared a buzzing noise coming from the router and it was due to a faulty capacitor. Changed it and it works now :)
