Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.2.4 Build 20240509 rel.64683(4555)

When I try to play ANY game on my quest 3 using ANY kind of wifi link (Virtual Desktop, Steam Link, Meta AirLink), I get abysmal performance. The game runs perfectly, but then I get terrible latency. It's like 7ms usually, and then it spikes to ~50ms and even more. But the headset says that the speed remains the same, exactly 2401mbps. Changing VR bitrate doesn't help, the same happens on 10mbps and 200mbps. Both the router and the headset are up to date. The PC is connected via ethernet cable and the headset is connected to the 5Ghz network.

Hi @Kostia16384,

Thank you for reporting your issue to our community.

Here are some suggestions for your issue, please go to Advanced--Wireless page:

  • Ensure that the 5Ghz wireless mode is 802.11ax only
  • Turn off OFDMA
  • Use the WiFi Analyzer tool (mobile phone app) to scan the surrounding channel occupancy, avoid crowded channels, and set the channel width to 80Mhz;
  • Turn off Airtime Fairness,and turn on QoS to set a high priority for the headset
  • If the above still cannot improve the connection stability, please turn on the guest network for VR use separately

  @Joseph-TP thanks! I did what you said (some things were not needed) and the experience has improved. It's still quite laggy, but it is wat it is I guess.

Hello  @Kostia16384,

Thank you for your reply.

We're glad to hear that your network experience has improved!  wink If possible, we also recommend that you check if there are any settings on Meta Quest 3 that can be modified to improve the user experience.
