Hi.. I have this problem..
I have a Router-Modem TP LINK TD-W8968 as a principal connection, and I have a Linksys 54g with the DD-WRT firmware as a secondary router (used as repeater)... the problem, I can not repeat the principal ssid of the TP LINK, I have to turn enable a second ssid, and making the repeat of that ssid in the dd-wrt... can someone tell me why that?? I just want to have one signal working on my principal router.
I updated to the lastest firmware.
Thanks :)

TD-W8968 is the main router and normally repeater should use the same SSID and password. If it cannot, you should check the linksys device and its firmware.

Sorry but I'm confused...
TD-W8968 has two SSIDs? A host one and a guest one?
When configuring a repeater, you cannot select the one you want to boost Wi-Fi signal?

Yes.. well..
the Router can have more than one SSID, ok? If I use only one, I can't repeat that... but If I have two SSID enable, I can repeat the second one, (not the first one)...
Both signals can have security...

How did you configure more than one SSID? Can you provide related screenshots?
If we enable guest network, we will be able to set the guest SSID. It seems that you are talking about different things.

Hi, well the router's configuration let you create more than one SSID (in the same channel)

Very strange issue...
Try to reset both the router and the repeater to factory defaults first. When you reconfigure TD-W8968, just keep the main SSID and ensure it works without the repeater. Later reconfigure the repeater.
