Config in IE explorer

Model : TD-W8968
Hardware Version : V4
Firmware Version : 3

the router configurations page which we can access by IP 192.168.1.1 is not working if we didn't use Microsoft Internet Explorer IE.
I tried for hours, and read a lot of posts here and docs by tp-link just to change dns to "Use user discovered DNS server only", but the save button does not work.
the problem solved when read that IE is recommended, but the truth is IE is mandatory because the save button in interface setup-> lan is not working in chrome browser v 43.
I faced many problems like unable to login and connect to router, and I reset it twice.
last thing I did after resetting, I used IE, upgrade firmware to leatest version from tplink.
but I need a solution for non MS-Windows environment as Linux
please help.
