Hi guys.


So today I was replacing my old router Dlink (DSL 2640b) with TP-Link (TD-W8960N).


But with the Tp-link I cant use dialup connection, always showing this error:




It was fine when I tried to connect using Dlink but not with Tplink.


What causing this? Any setting I should change to make it work?

Out of curiosity, why do you set up a broadband connection on your PC instead of putting username and password on web interface of W8960N directly?

For solution number 3, which is " Update rasppoe.sys file and NIC driver."

 I tried to replace the rasppoe.sys file in folder, rename the original one, and copy the new into the folder but its not here. I dont know how to say this.

I copied the new rasppoe.sys in the folder, completed but I cannot find the new rasppoe.sys in that folder. Any idea why?

Btw, my main account speed is slow, so sometimes I borrowed my friend's connection.

Its worked when I put in on web interface.

I got two accounts, one is 1mbps and second is 4mbps.

I used the 1mbps account on the router and normally connect to 4mbps account on PC.

You get it?

Solved!


For those facing this problem in future:


Log in router, go to Interface Setup>Internet , choose VC that you are using, and activated "Bridge Interface" then Save.
