Android 15 clients lose IPv6 connectivity due to low RA lifetimes
Howdy folks!
Recently I've bought an EX511 V2.9 here in Brazil, where I live, and I've been tinkering with it ever since. Today my phone got an update to Android 15, which introduces a new requirement for RA lifetimes, as per the Android 15 Compatibility Definition documentation, at section 7.4.5.2. According to what I've read, this change is supposed to enhance the battery life of mobile devices by lowering the frequency that they need to wake up in order to stay provisioned.
That being said, my phone , who had no issues whatsoever with IPv6 in Android 14, is currently without v6 connectivity, even though it gets an address through RADVD. I am unable to change my RA lifetime anywhere in the router settings, so that's disappointing. I've also tried to increase the DTIM Interval of both my 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands from 1 to 6 as suggested by people on Reddit, to no avail. No other device in my network fails to get v6 connectivity, only phones with Android 15. My device is running on the latest firmware. What should I do??
Thanks in advance!
