Hi everyone. I have a Deco X73-DSL that I was using with my old ADSL connection. Recently been upgraded to full fiber but have been unable to setup my deco. My ISP (Vodafone) have provided the third party router details, and I've tried to setup the deco using those details and instructions but with no luck. I've also followed the 'FTTP Option 2 Replace Vodafone Wi-Fi hub with Deco' in the tp-link support resources but again with no luck. Could someone help me with this? (The Vodafone supplied router is incredibly terrible!). Thank you!

Hi, welcome to the community.

What internet connection did you set up on the Deco X73-DSL?

 Is it VDSL router mode+ PPPoE credentials, with or without VLAN Tags 101/911?

If it is PPPoE, please make sure the username is in email address format, such as xxx@broadband.vodafone.co.uk.

Wait for your reply.

Best regards.

  @David-TP Thanks for replying David!

The instructions provided by vodafone include;

- username: dslxxx@broadband[dot]vodafone[dot]co[dot]uk

- VLAN: 901

- VPI: 0

- VCI: 38

- Protocol: PPPoA or PPP over ATM

- Framing/multiplexing: VC-based or VC-MUX

- Modulation: Multimode or G . dmt / ITU G992.1 (ADSL1) or ITU (ADSL2+)

- Security/Auth type: CHAP

- Idle timeout: No or 0

- MTJU Size: 1492

- IP Address: Obtain from ISP

- Default Gateway: Obtain from ISP

I have tried setting up PPPoA and PPPoE (as per TP-Link guide) but neither have worked.

Appreciate any direction, thank you!

  @seb1lngt0n

Hi, Thanks for the update.

Have you tried:

PPPOE+VLAN ID 901

username: dslxxx@broadband.vodafone.co.uk

password:xxxxxx

As for the DSL modulation, after the setup, if it still doesn't, could you please refer to this link to access the Deco web UI to check the DSL Modulation type:

How to check DSL sync status on Deco DSL model

Wait for your reply.

Best regards.
