Firmware Version : 1.1.1 build 131129 rel 49672

ISP : maxis


when adsl link down for awhile, and up again my router can not reconnect automatically.

status stated on WAN info is "authentication is failed, maybe username and password is incorrect"

when i check the username and password and all setting on my router all is ok, everything looking fine.

please advise..

can i upgrade the firmware?

what is the best firmware can fix this problem?

Upgrade the latest firmware(TD-W8960N_V5_141107), reset and reconfigure it.

Why? Did you confirm it with your ISP?

hi vivian,

it occurs 1 or 2 times in a weeks, check that with ISP, their link is ok..

when i check line state on ADSL info on my modem it is "showtime" means line is ok rite

and status on Internet info is "down" (not get ip address from adsl)

then i try to reboot the modem after that status show "up" and get ip address on internet info.

Did you upgrade the latest firmware?
If the problem continues, provide the system log when connection becomes down.

yes, im already upgrade the firmware. Use TD-W8960N_V5_140804

for the moment, not received complaints from customer.

problem occurs again. may i use firmware TD-W8960N_V5_141107 for this device?

Not sure if it can be fixed but it deserves to try,,,
Upgrade the latest firmware, reset and reconfigure it.

Hi,

My router already upgrade the latest firmware. (TD-W8960N_V5_141107). The problem is Internet still drops, i check both of SNR Margin and Line Attenuation are in good status. I try as following;

"Go to Advanced Setup-> DSL->Please do not select “ADSL 2+” as modulation, as is known, lower speed can bring up more stability in complex network environment."

but it does not working. Kindly advise.
