I've been using my AV1300 to extend my network to a cabin in the garden via the power line for a few years now.

Every few months it will disconnect and the power line light will turn off. Usually, this is fixed by plugging the unit and the adapter into the same extention chord to allow them to pair.

However, it is now dropping connection every few minutes, and I don't seem to have changed anything in my setup

Is there a way to debug this issue?

Hi@Genracy,

Thank you for your reply.

If there is no power, abnormal indicators, or noise coming from your powerline devices, please refer to the below steps to troubleshoot:
1. Change a different wall socket to power on the device.
2. Hard reset the powerline device and repair it. For powerline extenders, please press and hold the Reset button for 10 seconds to reset them. For power adapters, press and hold the Pair button for 15 seconds until all LEDs turn on momentarily.

If the issue persists, please contact local support for further help.

Hi@Genracy,

Thank you for contacting our community.

May I know what is the model of your TP-Link device?  Please refer to:

How to find the model number of your TP-Link device

How to find the hardware version on a TP-Link device

If you are experiencing an unstable internet connection on your TP-Link powerline devices, or the Powerline LED frequently turns off, here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:
    1. For wired powerline adapters, check if Power Saving Mode is enabled. You can disable it using the tpPLC utility. Refer to this FAQ for detailed instructions: How to enable/disable power saving mode on powerline adapters
    2. Move the powerline extender closer to the router and the powerline adapter. Placing them in the same room for testing.
    3. Test the internet connection by connecting your client devices directly to the main router. This will help determine if the issue is specific to the powerline connection or if it's a problem with the router itself.
    4. If the problem seems to be isolated to a specific client device, try connecting that device to a different network to see if the issue persists. Additionally, you can try using different Ethernet cables or ports for wired client devices to rule out any potential cable or port issues.

@Joseph-TP The model is  AV1300 TL-WPA8631P KIT Hardware version V3

I have already tried those steps yesterday and still having issues

Now the main router unit is showing no LEDs, but the power socket is still working.

Any additional troubleshooting steps would be appreciated.

Thanks
