Hi, I think you might have the EU version of Deco X50-5G. Currently, the auto release via the Deco APP has been ~50%. But I can't tell when you will receive the push notification via the Deco APP.
If you're in a hurry, I hope you can try to manually install this version via the web UI.
Thank you for your understanding.
Best regards.

@David_Alex Oh wow TP-Link is now removing the evidence of memory usage maxing up all the time. Crazy. It's now impossible to prove our case moving forward.
Don't know if you noticed already, but if you log in through the web interface then both CPU and memory usage are visible there. With VPN support now available, it is possible to access the web UI remotely as well.
With the new 1.2.1 firmware my memory usage is down to 56%, even though it used to be maxing all the time as you said. I strongly believe it was the memory usage that was primarily causing the crashes and problems.
It's still weird that they removed the CPU and memory usage reporting from the app, but if it helps to get the actual memory usage down to sustainable levels, I'm all for it. Hope it comes back eventually.
This has been a crazy long journey and I'm still not super happy with TP-Link, but so far the 1.2.1 seems to be the first good firmware.🤞nothing big comes up.

@David-TP When the X50 5G is operating in Wi-Fi router mode, network backup only works with 3G/4G. Is this intentional or a firmware issue?

Hi, nice to see you again.
The Backup should support both 4G and 5G.
Can I have your SIM service provider?
Have you ever set Deco X50-5G in the default 4G/5G router mode?
- If yes, will it be able to use 5G service?
Wait for your reply.
Best regards.

- My carrier is China Unicom.
- I previously used this Deco X50 5G solely as a 4G/5G router, and 5G worked normally. Later, I reset it and started using it as a Wi-Fi router, connecting it to the GPON ONT and using PPPoE to dial in

@David-TP Thanks for the info. The thing is - I received some notifications (like 4 or 5) during June but after opening them, I got landed on Deco app homepage and there was no update.
Then, what is the difference between automatic update via mobile app, and manual update via web UI? Will the upcoming updates stay automatic if I do the manual update?

Hi David! I still have CPU load issues, though the overall stability seems better with this FW. But whenever I do a speed test, the X50 5G will hit 100% CPU and speed will decline. And it's not like I get cracy speeds where I'm at, ~75 Mbs over 4G+. I have a setup with 4 additional X20(V3), no backhaul. Tested with just two connected clients, laptop to monitor CPU and an iPhone to test the speed. Any advice for how to configure to solve this issue? Thanks.

Hi, may I know your SIM carrier? How much speed would you receive when the CPU load is about 100%?
Could you please help me run a simple test:
- Temporarily power off 4* satellite Deco X20s and only leave the main Deco X50-5G
- Keep monitoring the CPU load again to see if it still reaches 100%
Thank you very much.
Best regards.
