  @David-TP thank you for your quick reply!

My SIM carrier is Swedish company Tre (3). I first thought it was a SIM issue so I ordered a new card, but that didn't fix things.

A test with only the X50 5G in the network made no significant difference (maybe some minor, but still spikes and slowing speeds). But I made another test that gave interesting results: In my area I currently only get a 4G+ connection with top speeds of ~75 Mbit/s, and it's delivered from a single tower. So I put the X50 in 4G only mode and locked it on the cell it connects too. Now, while I still get CPU spikes I don't get any speed reduction during the spikes, and I consistently reach ~65 while without the cell lock it will vary between ~20 and ~65.

  @David-TP

Wish to ask how is the red light / stop connection issue been solved? Is it by automated restart where the device will eventually still went red light but instead will restart itself?

I found that my Deco X50-5G went red light / offline and bring itself up again. (Can see the runtime in device info get reset).

Where it cause my CCTV device stopped it's connection and many more of my device drop their connection without bringing it back up.

Any solution / report that you received regarding this issue?

FYI: It is using the latest 1.2.1 version, and it is a version 1 hardware

  @LimpanBulle

Hi, thank you very much for the update. In this way, I think the previous speed reduction might be due to the random cell tower switching.

Ever since 1.2.0, many new features have been introduced into Deco X50-5G, which might bring an increase in the CPU load. In most cases, it would not affect the network stability.

Thanks a lot and best regards.

  @BIGJJ

Hi, Nice to see you again.

The 1.2.1 is supposed to improve the 5G network stability issue in most cases.

I've also received your email, and if this version didn't help, I hope you can help us run further tests.

Please refer to the email for more suggestions.

Best regards.

I have a setup with a X50-5G as main, and three X20 as sattelites.

I am using a fibre optic connection as my main connection, and am using 5G as backup in case the fibre falls out.

I have had some unstability issues with 1.2.0 where my X50-5G (main unit) restartes from time to time (2-5 times a week).

In addition, it seems to be triggered when I use my app to access settings - e.g. in the app i check system status, device list or firmware versions and while doing that, the system reboots.

I upgraded to 1.2.1 hoping to resolve this, but I still see the unstability (maybe not quite as unstable as 1.2.0).

Those here reporting stable running network, are your all using scheduled restarts daily?

I did a scheduled restart for a period, it seems to limit additional restarts but it is a nightmare with my Google Nest minis which for some reason requires power on/off to reconnect after network restart. So would like to avoid this.

“Could you add a ping watchdog to the Deco X50-5G? I’d like it to regularly ping an external address (e.g., google.com, 8.8.8.8, or another site). If the ping fails 10 times in a row, the unit should automatically reboot. This would help recover when the device can’t reach the internet. Please prioritize and release this feature as soon as possible. Thank you!”

Re:Deco X50-5G_V1_1.2.1 Official Now Available for Installation!
Yesterday

@David-TP Hi there, I upgraded the firmware of my X50-5G yesterday, from the 1.2.0 build 32926, to the 1.2.1 44588; all went smooth.

But I noticed that my upload dropped to 3-5 Mbps instead of 40-50 of the days before, multiple sites tried. Tried also to restart Deco.

Also my ping is a bit higher (35 and not 20).

Download is between 250-300, quite the same as before, maybe a bit less but it's not always steady.

Parameters are the same, the antennas are linked to the same band as always and the RSRP, RSRQ, SNR are more or less always the same.

Could it be a problem with something done by the upgrade?

What could I do?

Thank you.
