Model: TL-PA7010 KIT
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version:

Orginally all was well!
Now on my PL adapter I am occasionally seeing a red PL light and mostly it is orange. Trying to understand what is happening, I see veriaous things which suggest this means the power level isn't good, but how can that be?

I have an Orange Livebox router, connected by ethernet cable to the adapter, then various extenders. the PL light on teh extenders seems to always be green. the issue is with the adapter.

Thank you

Hi@Lizat,

Thank you for contacting our community.

If the powerline LED is red, it indicates that the powerline devices is experiencing poor signal strength, please try the below troubleshooting steps:
1. Connect the extender to wall sockets instead of a power strip or surge protector.
2. Keep the extender away from AC power adapters and appliances with a motor, such as air-conditioners, washing machines, fans, kitchen appliances, etc.
3. Move the extender closer to the Power adapter.
4. Update the firmware of the Powerline device by referring to this instruction: How to update the firmware using tpPLC Utility (new logo)

Best Regards~
