WAN or LAN?

Hi,
I'm seeing contrasting opinions on the web for this and hope somone can guide me.
MODEM >> (WAN Port > AX58) >> (WAN Port > AX58)
MODEM >> (WAN Port > AX58) >> (LAN Port > AX58)
Which of the above is correct?

Hi,
As far as TP-Link's routers are concerned you should connect them like MODEM >> (WAN Port > AX58) >> (WAN Port > AX58), no matter what operation mode you have chosen for the second AX58.
TP-Link's firmware automatically configures the port labelled "WAN" to suit the needs of the designated operation mode.
