Bad reception TP-Link Archer NX600 versus archer m400

I finally upgraded my NX600 from the archer M400 and the recepstion was terrible on the NX600 with 4g.
i do not have 5g in the area but i thought at least that the reception was egual to the much older M400.
I am using a external antenna with both devices EMCOM XPOL-2 4G/5G Antenne .
Is it possible that the issue can be resolved with a change in the firmware or is the NX600 just not as good as the older M400
Settings are equal on both devices
NX600 general speed
M400 General speed

Would there be a huge difference between Archer NX600 and Archer MR400?
