ioT SSID up after moving to P9 as master
I've configured a network with a X50 as master and then migrate to a P9 to have CPL backhaul.
Now I have a P9 as master, X50, P9 and M5 as slaves.
The iot network I've previously configured is still alive but I can't have access to its configuration thru Deco app !!
Any hint to change that ?

Hi, Deco P9 doesn't support IoT network, so there is an IoT entry on the Deco APP.
If you enabled the IoT network when Deco X50 is the main Deco, without disabling it before switching P9 as the main Deco, you might still detect the IoT SSID next to the satellite Deco X50 and Deco M5.
Thank you very much.
Best regards.

Thanks @David-TP
Actually, looks like a bug : iot Network was up, even if the X50 was configured as a slave.
I migrate to have a M5 as master and then I have back access to iot config.

Hi there,
I have a mixed mesh of E4, E4R and P9 Decos.
Until recently, I had in my Deco app the option for an IoT Network that all my IoT devices are using.
This option has disappeared, most likely because I followed the app's suggestion to make the P9 the master.
which Deco types do support the IoT network? and will there be a firmware update for the P9 to support the IoT network on those Decos as well?
Many thanks in advance for shedding some light into this confusing issue !

Here is the list of models that support IoT networks https://www.tp-link.com/en/home-networking/deco/?filterby=AND%7C6357
As for the P9 firmware to support IoT network...Maybe? The support staff have no control on if or when a firmware is released they just come in one day and the engineers yell "surprise" well I'm sure that's not how it happens it's just how I imaged it happens :)
