HX710 Pro won't always use saved DFS channel after powered off and on
Sorry I can't find my model listed above so I had to use another model number to post this. This is about the TP-Link HX710 Pro:
I'm using a TP-Link HX710 Pro in AP mode. It is connected to my LAN using the HX710 Pro ethernet WAN port via a 2.5G network switch (SG105-M2).
From the web interface of the HX710 Pro if you save the 5Ghz wifi to use a DFS channel e.g. 100 (DFS) and 160MHz width it works after you wait for 10 minutes (standard DFS check delay). Performance is then very good and it stays on this setting all the time.
If you then power off the HX710 the next time you power on it will sometimes change 5GHz WiFi to channel 44 and 80Mhz width. In the web interface under 5Ghz wireless settings in the drop down boxes used to change the settings it actually shows channel 44 and 80MHz and not what the user saved previously and not even Auto / Auto.
You then have to go into the interface and change it back to 160MHz and choose your preferred DFS channel and wait another 10 minutes before you can connect on this channel. If you power off or if there was a power cut you then need to repeat this change and wait 10 more minutes before you can use it otherwise you just use channel 44 and 80MHz all the time.
Testing this by checking the channel and width is set to the users choice in the interface immediately before powering off and then switching on only when I need to use it I have found that sometimes weirdly it does keep the saved DFS channel and 160MHz width but it normally changes it to 44 / 80MHz. I'm not sure why sometimes it applies the users setting but most times it overwrites the user setting. All other custom settings are saved and applied after power off and on. When the DFS channel selected it always keeps the selected channel for as long as it stays powered on, so it doesn't seem to be due to any outside interference on that channel.
Could someone please check / update the firmware so that when in AP mode it saves the users preferred WiFi 5GHz channel and width settings and will never overwrite them with it's own settings and will always set the user values on startup after power loss?
