Phenomenon Description

After updating the Deco M9 Plus to 1.8.1, users found that some satellite units can no longer connect to the nearest Deco M9 Plus. For example, before 1.8.1, the Deco X50-outdoor was always automatically connected to the nearest Deco M9 Plus, but after the firmware upgrade, it has a very weak signal and remains connected to the main Deco, even with "Connection Preference" already set to the nearby Deco M9 Plus.

 

 

Available Solutions:

The latest official version 1.9.1 has fixed the reported issue here. Please make sure your Deco is up-to-date.

  @David-TP As you assumed, I disconnected the LAN and left only the Wi-Fi connected, and updated both Deco M9 devices to the beta version, but after restarting the application, it still shows all three as disconnected, even though the web interface is OK and they ping OK. It's a big problem with the app that it doesn't show the correct numbers - what should I do now? Should I downgrade to 1.6.4?

Hi, can I have your Deco App version? The latest version for IOS is 3.9.115.

Please try to reboot the Deco M9 Plus system on the web UI once.

Then kill the Deco App and start it again.

 

If  all three satellite M9 Plus are still offline, please refer to this link to help me submit the Deco App log:

Hi all.

 

I had the exact same issue after 1.8.1 upgrade. I am glad I found this thread. I upgraded using the macOS update program and now my Deco M9 Plus v2 is connecting to the strongest signal once again.

Hi all,

After struggling some days with this issue after 1.8.1 upgrade, I also found this solution.

Connected both satellite M9 Deco Plus devices wired to the main Deco, ran the upgrade tool to update to the mentioned Beta firmware and bot devices are connected again.
