Model: Archer VR600v
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 0.2.0 0.9.1 v0074.0 Build 170504 Rel.68210n

Hi I aquired this router which only purpose is to be used as WDS Bridging.

My current FW is 0.2.0 0.9.1 v0074.0 Build 170504 Rel.68210n

I found this newer FW Archer VR600v(EU)_V2_220112.

My questions are:
1. If I upgrade, will I loose any features?
2. Will the newer FW run better than the old one performance wise?
3. Can I downgrade later? (I saw another post, but the beta FW link doesn't work)

Hi@Bjur,

Welcome to our community.

Generally speaking, if the device is still working properly, there is no need to update the firmware.
You can also compare the issues fixed by the new firmware and then update according to your actual needs: Archer VR600v V2 firmware

Thanks.

  @Joseph-TP Thanks for the answer.

But will I loose any features when upgrading and can I downgrade if it doesn't perform as well as earlier?

Hi@Bjur,

If you encounter any issues after upgrading, we recommend contacting our technical support. We do not recommend downgrading the firmware on your own.

Thank you~
