Firmware Version: 1.2.11 Build 20190926 Rel. 55727
Hi everyone,
I have tried to upgrade my TP Deco M9 plus for a while but i can't get it to work.
I have tried all three options but nothing works. The Deco app says all deco's are up to date.
I can't open it via ip addess or http://tplinkdeco.net as the firmware is to old (I guess)
I can't get login into the upgrade tool as i am getting wrong user/password. (windows 11 Pro).
I have tried it in Win8 modus and also with admin rights.
I have changed my setup now! Modem (192.168.178.1 DHCP off) -> RJ45-> Deco M9 Plus (192.168.178.200) / Deco M9 Plus (192.168.179.1 DHCP ON) RJ45 -> Switch RJ45 -> PC 192.168.179.125 Still getting the error message that invalid TP-Link account

Hi, the 1.2.11 is a very old version for Deco M9 Plus_V2, and the main difference in this version is that it doesn't support web UI.
So if Deco App no longer detects any newer version, the firmware upgrade utility would be the only way to update the firmware.
As you have reset one Deco M9 Plus unit and rebuilt the network, I was wondering when trying to use the firmware upgrade utility to update this "new" Deco, would it still report incorrect user ID and password?
Best regards.

Resolution:
The problem with 1.1.2 firmware version is that it can't update the account status from the cloud server to the hardware.
It logged the first password you create during the install and that is permanent in the Deco's.
If you changed your password you have to do this in order to work:
You need to reset all your deco's, then try to create a new network. Only power one Deco and leave the reset unplugged. Connect the the one deco to the ISP.
When it is successfully set up, please try to run the firmware upgrade tool. When succesfull tried to add the second Deco and try it again.
If not delete the whole network. Unplug the upgraded deco and start with one power on Deco and repeat the steps.

@Jay_B I think your Deco M9 Plus is using ISP Customized Firmware but you can update your Deco M9 Plus by recovery mode. You can follow the steps from the link below.

Did you log into the Deco APP via the same email ID and password?
-It's suggested to sign out the current ID and log into the Deco APP again to verify the password.
-Please also unplug other Deco models from the Mesh network if possible.
Best regards.

@ARGamingPK1 Thanks for your reply. It didn't work. For some reason comes the Deco back with ip address 192.168.179.107 every time. Even after a hard reset.
I have try to connect to it via http and https but both are refused!

@Jay_B Go to LAN settings and change the ip address to 192.168.68.1 and also change the subnet mask to 255.255.255.0 and then reboot your Deco system.

@Jay_B You can change ip address on your Deco system and the whole deco system will automatically follow the changes.

@Jay_B You can do the factory reset to all Deco units manually by using reset button and then create new TP-LINK account and then do the setup on new TP-LINK account and then u will able to access 192.168.68.1 and login your Deco Web UI by using TP-LINK account (Password)

@ARGamingPK1 So i have made a second account. Reset one Deco and rebuild the network. I got ip address 192.168.68.100 and i can ping the deco gateway.
When i want to access the WEB UI via 192.168.68.1 i am getting connection refused on http and https
