Hello,

I need to upgrade to full fiber and want to replace my V2800v modem router with a similar one, but one that is better able to handle the faster speeds. I haven't needed to replace my router for many years so I am out of touch with what is available. Would the TP-Link AX5400 be something to consider? Any help and advice would be appreciated.

Hi @greshoff1,

Thank you for getting back to me.

The device you mentioned is Archer AX73, which is a wireless router.

If you can confirm with the new ISP that the Ethernet port is needed for Internet access, then you can consider this router.
If you still need a DSL port to access the Internet, then you need to consider a DSL modem.

You mentioned that the Internet speed plan is 150Mbps, I think Archer VR2800 is enough to meet your needs.
In addition, I also replied to you in another post about how to set up Archer VR2800 as a wireless router.

Hi@greshoff1,

Thank you for contacting our community.

AX5400 is generally a specification, and many of our products have the same specification as AX5400.
You probably want to know about Deco X73-DSL. This product does support DSL connection.

Thanks, I am unable to find the deco x73-dsl on Amazon UK. This is the one I was referring to - TP-Link AX5400 Dual Band Gigabit WiFi 6 Router

Maybe this one is similar?
