Model: Archer AX53   EX511
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.0.4 Build 20240306

Saludos

Hi@German68,

According to Google Translate's translation, your question is that AX53 may experience lag when used as the main router of EX511. If there is any discrepancy, please describe it in English.

EX511 is an ISP customized device, so you should use the Aginet App to manage the EX511. For more details about the EX511, you can refer to page 15 of BBA Router_User Guide

Could you please turn off one EX511 to see if the issue persists? If you don't mind, you can set one EX511 to be the main router for comparison purposes.

Best Regards.

Thank you very much @Joseph-TP for your response.
Sorry, I don't speak English. I'll be as specific as possible for a good translation.
I configured the AX53 as my main router and two EX511s as satellites in EasyMesh. After a while, approximately 24 hours, the AX53 crashed, I lost internet connection, and I can't access the web configuration. I get the message "operation failed."
I previously had that AX53 with two AX23s also in EasyMesh, and they worked perfectly. Apparently, the problem wasn't the AX53, but the AX53 + EX511 combination.
Since I have the EX511s as satellites, the Aginet app doesn't recognize them. Besides, there's nothing to manage if they're simply satellites. I'm going to try your recommendation of setting the EX511 as the main router and the AX53 as the satellite, but I need the OpenVPN client option, which the EX511 doesn't have.

Hello@German68,

Thank you for getting back to me.

I will send you a beta firmware via Message. Please try to install it and update to the beta.

Manually update firmware, referring to How to upgrade the firmware on the TP-Link Wi-Fi Routers.

Best Regards~

  @Joseph-TP

Hi Joseph,

I currently have almost the same setup. I just bought 1 unit of AX53 (V1) 2 days ago and I'm going to set it as main router and set my current main router EX511(V2) as satellite with wired mesh (ethernet backhaul). The current updated firmware AX53(V1) for my region is Archer AX53(US)_V1_1.2.2 Build 20230627. While there is no firmware update available for EX511(V2).

I used to have AX10 (V2) with firmware Archer AX10(US)_V2_1.3.11 Build 20250325 as the main router paired with the EX511(V2) as satellite wired mesh, but about a day or so it would disconnect and turned into wireless mesh. The only fix I know was to hard reboot (unplug power) of EX511 to turn it back to wired mesh and again it would turned to wireless mesh in a day or so. It was connected LAN to LAN port and there's nothing wrong with the cable and the ports. I knew the problem most probably has to be the firmware.

Then about 1-2 weeks ago there was rain and thunder struck so loud (I think nearby) it damaged AX10. Unfortunately the one-year warranty expired 3 months ago and there's no way to fix/service the unit, so then I thought I would upgrade to AX53 to come to par with EX511 in terms of speed as both are AX3000.

Therefore, I would really appreciate it if you had any solution or firmware update for AX53(V1) and EX511(V2) so they can work together without problem.

Hello@Roodeez ,

Welcome to our community.

For the Archer AX53(US)_V1, please install the pre-release firmware here:  Pre-release Firmware for Archer AX53/AX58 Supports EasyMesh in AP Mode, Ethernet Backhaul, ECO Mode.

Or you can check the firmware page of the AX53 for a new official version. Then you can update online.

If you want to set the EX511 as a satellite router, it is recommended that you hard reset the EX511. Then create a new EasyMesh Network via Ethernet Backhaul.
