Model: Deco X55
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: 1.6.7 build 25031412 rel 48241

I have a network of three Deco X55 units and one Outdoor X50 unit. I would like to enable the Schedule Wi-Fi feature to turn off Wi-Fi between midnight and 6am. However if the X50 unit is powered on then this feature disappears from the Deco menus as the X50 does not have the ability to turn off it's Wi-Fi. I do have the ability to simply power down this unit but do not wish to power down the entire network. I would like to turn off the Wi-Fi on the three X55 units. How can I do this?
Notes, if I turn off the X50 unit, the menu option to schedule the Wi-Fi is enabled in the app, but as soon as the X50 is restarted then any such settings are ignored.

Hi, welcome to the community.

Deco X50-Outdoor doesn't support ECO Mode>WiFi Schedule. It is planned to be added later via firmware upgrade

So when it was added into the Mesh network, the Original ECO Mode would disappear from the Deco APP.

Is the Deco X50-outdoor connected to the nearest Deco X55 via an Ethernet cable?

If yes, you can use this individual Deco X50-outdoor to create a new Deco network, then set its working mode to "Access Point mode:

How to create a new network in the Deco app

How to set up Deco to work in Access Point mode

Thank you very much.

Best regards.

David, thanks for your response.

at the moment the outdoor unit is connected to an X55 via Ethernet cable, but the X50 is acting as one end of the Wi-Fi network between two buildings, so the X50 is in the middle of a chain (so to speak). It will be connected via underground cable in the coming months, but not yet.

However my main point was that I'd like to be able to turn off the Wi-Fi on those units which have the feature. I have two buildings, let's call them A and B. A has the router and internet connection. B is connected to A via the X50 outdoor unit attached to building B. Currently in building B the power to the Deco units is switched off overnight in order to shutdown down the Wi-Fi. Building A has some wired connections which need to stay active. I would like the Wi-Fi in building A to shutdown on a schedule, while leaving the wired connections still active.

you mentioned a future update for he X50 unit, do you have a timescale when that update is likely? I have thoughts on adding extra outdoor units but don't want to go down a dead end.
