Solar charging activates Privacy Mode
Hi,
Installed a Tapo solar panel for one of our two cameras yesterday. Since then the camera kept switching to Privacy Mode whenever the sun comes out, apparently as charging automatically activates Privacy Mode.
How can I stop this from happening please?

Thanks for the responses - I did eventually find the culprit after quite a bit of digging around in the app.
Found the setting here:
1: Select the camera
2. Click on the settings cog icon (top right)
3. Select Battery Status
4. Auto Privacy Mode > switch to Off

The camera won't switch to privacy mode itself, or be triggered by the solar panel. You may want to check if any settings could be causing this issue, or if it is due to a manual control.
- Check if there are any relevant settings in the automation. *Tapo app homepage, go to the bottom Smart tab > Automation.
- Camera's Home/Away mode feature. Do you use the camera's home/away mode feature? Check if the privacy mode is enabled in these modes. This might cause the camera to switch to privacy mode when you change modes. How to edit Home and Away Mode for Tapo Cameras on the Tapo app

@Wayne-TP this is obviously not correct. My tapo camera was not randomly entering privacy mode before I installed the solar panel.
What you must mean is that it is supposed to be able to recognize that the power input is from solar.
If you stopped and gave 30 seconds of thought to the question and didn't assume the person asking was an idiot, you could have give a more useful answer such as 'if this is happening you may need to disable privacy mode while charging' and then explained how to do that. But because you are either unable to or not permitted to think about how to answer the question you wasted everyone's time, including your own and mine, to give an answer a 10 year old could have told you was not correct
