I am sorry if this is a duplicate thread but I looked at old threads and couldn't get the solutions working. Any help would be really appreciated!

I tried enabling RemoteSSH in ori.xml after decrypting the backup file and restoring the modfied file again but trying to run SSH gives an error of not being able to negotiate because the router offered ssh-rsa and -oHostKeyAlgorithms=+ssh-rsa and trying to run a command says exec request failed on channel 0.

I also tried adding a NAT rule to the ori.xml file below config tag - just factory resetted my router and adding it below NAT tag didn't do anything and restoring.

I just need to pass-through 1 device through the firewall so even DMZ would work if I get it working for IPv6.

I really don't understand why this is still a problem, there should atleast be a firewall on/off toggle. It has been 2-3 years since this problem has popped up.

Please help!

  @Tribhoon

I understand your frustration and hope to help you. Although I don't have any better suggestions for your needs, I will report your functional requirements to the relevant departments. I hope these features can be implemented in future firmware upgrades.

I will move your post to the Feature Request section, and I also suggest that you refine the title to specific requirements so that more users with the same needs can participate in the voting.

  @Joseph-TP Thank you for your reply. I really appreciate you forwarding this to the relevant teams. Honestly, I was starting to wonder if I would even get a response, so this means a lot.

Is the title good or should I make more changes? I am not really sure.

As for the voting, well, Joseph tell me, don’t you think these are basic features that should already be the standard in modern routers? Devices get global IPv6 addresses, but there is no way to control incoming traffic or firewall rules. That's a pretty big limitation for anyone hosting services or doing remote access, especially for users like me who's ISPs use CG-NAT for IPv4.

I hope this gets serious consideration. Even a basic IPv6 firewall rule editor or toggle to allow inbound connections or even DMZ would go a long way for many users.

Thanks again for listening to the community, it makes a big difference.
