Good afternoon. Can someone point me in the right direction. I have a network setup using several extenders connected to the main AV1300 plug, but after several years and I think with the hot weather, the AV1300 plug has completely gone and won't power on at all.

 

I've purchased a new AV1300, but do I need to delete the old network and repair each extender to the new AV1300 or is possible to just add that onto the current network?

Hi,

 

You don't need to delete the old network.

 

To "add" a new AV1300 to your existing network of AV1300 devices you need to "pair" it with your existing network.

 

The important thing here is that you must press the "Pair" button of one of your existing AV1300 devices first (which leads to the "Power" LED on that AV1300 to start blinking) and only then press the "Pair" button of the new AV1300 device!

 

If you did it the wrong way around (i.e. press the "Pair" button of the new AV1300 first), then the existing AV1300 would be removed from your existing network and you would end up with a second network.

  @woozle Thank you for your help. I did end up doing that, and luckily enough in the correct order! It did pair with the one extender but for some reason, despite showing as part of the network, the remaining extenders weren't showing an internet connection, but I just 'reset' each one and then they worked fine, so I didn't have to manually pair each extender again thankfully. The trickiest part wa figuring out which one was which as of the extender/room names was also reset lol, but I got there in the end!
