I found when a MLO device connect to Deco, the Deco App will show same device multiple times,

like following as my smartphone(zenfone 12 ultra) show 3 times

 

 

I did a research on android Wi-Fi 7 specs, and know that when using MLO,

there will a MLD MAC address and Per-Link STA MAC address.

 

As in my case, my phone connect to Deco via 5Ghz + 6GHz,

so there is an MAC address for the combined MLO link, an MAC address for the 5Ghz link, and another MAC address for 6GHz link.

And Deco App just show all the MLD MAC and Per-Link STA MAC as 3 devices

 

I think it is better to just show MLD MAC for one device (and show the Per-Link STA MAC in device detail page?),

as show same device multiple times is confusing and hard to manage.

I don't think it is an expected behavior, and I didn't receive similar feedback "Same device shows multiple times in Deco App when using MLO" before either 

Could you please help me submit the Deco App log here: How to submit Deco APP log

 

And there is a new version for Deco BE85_V2. If possible, it is also suggested to test whether the 1.1.3 firmware here helps:

(The 1.1.3 version can revert to the official 1.1.1 directly via web UI)

Yes, with MLO enabled, a single device can appear multiple times in the Deco app because it uses a unique MAC address per band. This is expected and aligned with the Wi-Fi 7 standard.

  @Networ_kHunter Yeah, I just thought that it maybe better if Deco App organize those items into one device, as we can manage MLO devices easier, or avoid some improper operation on MLO device (like block an Link MAC address? As I understand, We need to use MLD MAC address to block a MLO device)

  @David-TP Additionally, following is the detail page of the duplicated devices,

you can see the 3 devices have a different MAC address, and 2 of them (per-link MAC address?) does not have IP address.
