hi, my TD-VG3631 is being used as a switch with another router acting as a modem. my laptop is wired to the TD-VG3631 and gets internet access via the connection between the TD-VG3631 and the modem.

my problem is that my wifi on the TD-VG3631 allows any connections to the TD-VG3631 but nothing via wifi can connect to the internet

do i have to bridge something? can you point out how to fix this please?

As you said, TD-VG3631 is working as a switch, so that DHCP is disabled on its web interface?
What's the IP address obtained wireless clients connecting to 3631's Wi-Fi?
Can you log in its web interface wirelessly?

i was unable to log into the 3631 admin via wifi but i seemed to have fixed it, the 3631 dhcp was giving me a 169 address, turning off dhcp and manually configuring the network made no difference, however i typed in ipconfig /release and ipconfig /renew fixed it all and now i am typing this response via wifi

thank you for pointing me towards dhcp, this helped me narrow down where to look :)
