How to set-up easymesh network - using Archer VX1800v

Hello Everyone – I hope that you can assist me with this – I would like to setup a mesh network using my easymesh compatible VX100v - I had hoped that I could buy an easymesh compatible access point/ extender – connect to my VX1800v via an Ethernet cable, configure easymesh and off we go. But no, I’ve been told that my VX1800v is onemesh and not easymesh – this is not correct, devices like the easymesh compatible RE330 aren’t compatible and that I should add a second router, the AX23
Is there anyone here that has an easymesh network and if so, please can you tell me how this was configured – Many thanks

Hi@Somerset1,
Welcome to our community.
Please confirm that the RE330 is up to date. Then, refer to page 42 of the Archer VX1800v(EU)_V1_User Guide to create the EasyMesh network.
Please note that the Archer Vx1800v can only work as the main unit.

Archer VX1800v should support Easymesh according to its description and its user guide - here's a guide on how to do that.
Beware that Archer VX1800v may build an Easymesh only with a wireless backhaul, unless the ethernet backhaul feature has been implemented into the FW release that you already have installed:

hi. I can confirm the vx1800v WILL work with an Easymesh Ethernet backhaul. I have mine paired to an ax53 v1.
Check the firmware of both routers are running the latest firmware and compatible with Ethernet backhaul. You may have to see the forums for a beta or early release firmware.
note: the master Easymesh router will have to be the vx1800v and will have to be setup wirelessly first. Only then can you connect the Ethernet and may take a few minutes to establish a permanent connection (switching from wireless to Ethernet)
good luck!

Hello@polkmn55555 ,
According to the translation of Google Translate, your question you forget the wireless password of the modem. If there is any discrepancy, please describe it in English.
If you forgot the Wi-Fi password for the modem router.
1. Check the bottom label of the router for the default Wi-Fi password, which is typically an 8-digit number.
2. Open the Tether App, log into the router under Devices, and navigate to Tools > Wireless to view the Wi-Fi password.
3. Connect your computer to the modem router via Ethernet, access tplinkmodem.net, and find the password under Advanced > Wireless > Wireless Settings.
4. If all else fails, reset the modem router and use the default Wi-Fi password to reconnect.
Note: A hard reset will revert the router to its factory settings without Internet access, requiring reconfiguration.
