Model: Deco BE65   Deco X50
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

I have been using X50s as my two units in my old place with wireless backhaul over 2 years without an issue.

a month ago I moved to a new place with ethernet connections in every room. So, I upgraded my network and also got myself a pair of BE65.

I created a network with one of the BE65 as main node and the other decos as satellites over ether. The connection is like this:

modem->BE65 router mode -> switch (a regular tp-link 8port 1GbE switch) -> ethernet deco BE65 & 2x X50s.

I'm getting so many disconnects I've stopped counting. There are days like today that I got at least 15 disconnects. The problem is only with the BE65s in the network, I tried only X50s no disconnects.

I have tried every other combination, changed configurations, changed to access point mode, tried everything. Everything is updated. I can't figure out what's wrong with my expensive BE65s.

I have connected with support over email, we exchanged a few emails. I tried everything they suggested and now after 10 days they haven't replied to me.

versions:

BE65(2.0)

1.1.7 Build 20250324 Rel. 32980

X50(1.2)

Firmware Version:

Hi, welcome to the community.

Due to certain limitations, I can't check the previous contact record. Can you provide more details about the network disconnection?

Would the satellite Deco BE65 turn flashing red?

If it stays green, can I have the model numbers of the devices that constantly dropped out?

If possible, have you tried to temporarily power off 2*satellite X50s and leave the 2 BE65s only to see if the network stability gets better?

Wait for your reply.

Best regards.

Hi, @David-TP thanks for the reply.

I have tried leaving just the BE65s and no luck...only when the X50s are alone the network is stable.

I'm noticing the disconnect on my PC because network is not working, and then I look back at the satellite and it's red (not flashing red). I run to the main Deco and it's also red. Then, Deco app also confirms the network problem.

In the deco system logs I'm not seeing anything helpful to be honest. I only see that some devices (MAC address) timeout to 802.11k pings

Hi, thanks for the update.

Did you happen to save a screenshot of the IPV4 settings under Deco APP>More>Internet Connection when Deco turned solid red? Would the IPV4 address change to 0.0.0.0?

By the way, did you need to restart the Deco BE65 to temporarily restore the internet connection?

- If yes, I think the system log might be overwritten.

I'll check with the senior engineer to see whether they have other suggestions.

By the way, may I know your internet service provider? Is the IPV4 internet connection type Dynamic IP or PPPoE?

Wait for your reply.

Best regards.

I have checked that setting during a disconnect. If I get one in the next hours I will try to see it.

No, I don't need to restart. It comes back after a few minutes.

I'm located in Athens, Greece. My ISP is Cosmote with FTTH (1000Mbps/500Mbps) and the IPV4 internect connection is of Dynamic IP type.
