Hello,

My Deco X50 G5 modem is connected to my rpi4 router using one of the 1Gbps RJ45 sockets. I switch both of them off during night time or when I leave the apartment. This means when I use them, they boot up simultaneously. My RPI4 Router is programmed to wait for network connectivity to establish, this works almost reliably and takes about 150 seconds. What does occasionally cause trouble are two 32 second dhcp leases getting handed out by the TP Link router during bootup. The rpi4 client does not ignore them because I would have to know how to add an ignore statement for these leases. The correct one follows after the Deco bootup and has the lease time I set using the web interface.

Can somebody assist in how to add such a dhcp ignore statement? My problem is: the ignore statement would have to be based on lease time only. I can't ignore the source ip, because the 32 second leases already originate from 192.168.68.1. The dchp client I use is dhclient.

Otherwise I'm very happy with the Deco. It runs fine and wifi is fast as well.

  @TuxTp

Hi, welcome to the community.

Do you set Deco X50-5G into "WiFi Router" mode or "Access Point" mode?

It is suggested to post your question here, and I think you might receive more useful suggestions:

Thank you very much.

Best regards.
