Model: Archer AX3000
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.3.1

I just picked up this router and have consistently had issues with connecting my PlayStation 5 to the router via Ethernet. Wi-Fi works flawlessly, but the LAN ports limit the hard wired speed to 100Mbps download. First I changed my cable to a Cat6, then to a Cat8 (both brand new), then I reconfigured the router from Auto Negotiation to 1000Mbps Full Duplex, disabled QoS, rebooted the router, power cycles the PS5, tried all the ports, and still nothing. Tech support from PlayStation insists this is a router issue, and I did see that some TP Link routers will always auto negotiate the speed to the LAN ports. Has anyone experienced this issue and found a resolution? I've tried every troubleshooting step that I could find and still nothing. Also I did check the speed on my laptop while wired and the speed was perfect.

Hello@kmac092 ,

Welcome to our community.

May I confirm if the model of your router is Archer AX3000 Pro?

As you said, the normal wired speed can be obtained when the PC is directly connected to the router. So the LAN output problem of the router can be ruled out, right?
Do you have another router to connect to the PS5 for comparison?
Additionally, you can try connecting the PS5 to the router's Wi-Fi for comparison.

  @Joseph-TP Hi Joseph,

Thank you very much for your reply! Unfortunately my old router is no longer functional, but before it was replaced I had no issues getting close to 400 mbps with a wired connection. On my new TP Link router, I do get those speeds on Wifi. I just can't get the router to recognize that the PS5 shouldn't be capped at 100 mbps. As to the model, it's the Archer AX3000 Pro Dual-Band Wi-Fi 6 Router.

Hello@kmac092 ,

Thanks for getting back to me.

Is there any switch between the router and the PS5? If yes, please connect the PS5 directly to the router's LAN port.

Test different LAN ports of the router for the PS5.

If you can, please hard reset the PS5.

Also, have you had a chance to talk with the support of the PS5? They may give you some suggestions for the PS5.

  @Joseph-TP No switch, just the cable between the router and the PS5. I tried every port with no luck. I will try PS5 support.
