ISP : Cable Modem

Is it possible to use this router as a simple cable modem router using the LAN4/WAN as the WAN port and LAN3/LAN2/LAN1 ports a LAN ports and use PPPOE for authentication?

You want to configure W8980 as a wireless router to work with the cable modem, right?
If so, you can choose Wireless Router Mode and connect in the way you described.
