Firmware Version: 5.0.0 Build 120522 Rel.23978

After many attempts I am still unable to update the firmware!

I have successfully telnet into the modem, and entered the command: sys modelcheck off
 I have verified the modelscheck status is OFF.

I then again tried to update the firmware but I still received the failure message:
The upload file was not accepted.

The firmware I was attempting to update is;
http://www.tp-link.com/en/download/TD-W8951ND_V5.html

I have reset the modem to factory default, powered off, then restarted. Telnet into the modem to turn OFF modelscheck, and then tried to update the firmware in Web Dashboard, the error still persists!
I am trying this on Windows 10, Edge and Chrome fails on both.

What else can I try?

Same problem with my TD-W8951ND also.
You must be connected via a LAN cable (not WiFi) otherwise the update will fail.

I have tried the following;
Restarting modem with factory settings, then telnet to the modem and entering ' sys modelcheck off' - the update still failed.

I was able to import / export the ROM file so I do not appear to have any browser issues.

Problem solved by cable connection to W8951ND?
What's the current firmware version?

I have been trying all my attempts with the WiFi off and plugged in with a network cable.
Firmware version is 5.0.0 Build 120522 Rel.23978

Managed to upgrade to [SIZE=5]5.0.0 Build 141114 Rel.26463

Took several attempts. upgraded from a lower firmware version to the current one.

Modem / WiFi seems to be working fine, although there are errors in the log as before.. but that's a problem for another day.[/SIZE]
