Deco X50 links to base, not next in the chain and strongest signal
I've just purchased and installed a twin-pack Deco X50 and a Deco X50 outdoor. I'm using these to give WiFi coverage across two buildings, using the outdoor unit to span the garden, then a second X50 to pick up the WiFi in the garden office. So they're basically in one line in one direction.
The positioning of them is:
Main X50 in house -over Wifi - Outdoor X50 - over Wifi - 2nd X50 in garden office.
The problem I have is the second Deco X50 unit is always pairing with the base unit, whereas I want it to pair with the outdoor unit. The result is the second X50 has a very weak signal and not usable, whereas if it paired with the Outdoor X50, which is well within range, it would work well.
I read that it may be because the twin pack X50 units come pre-configured. So I've tried the reset button on the base of the second X50 and when I've added it to the network, it keeps pairing with the base unit and not the outdoor unit.
Any ideas how to make the second X50 only piggy back off the outdoor X50?
PS. All of this is wireless backhaul.
