Model: Deco X50
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

Ok, this Deco set up is getting annoying.

I have X50 3 decos pack and here's I have set them up.

1 main deco connected via cable to my telstra modem in the garage

1 satellite deco HARD WIRED to a ethernet cable running from my modem through the house to my shed where this satellite deco is placed.

1 last satellite deco is simply plugged to connect wirelessly.

In the deco app, I see the HARD wired satellite deco still connected to the main deco and has a very weak signal (shouldn't there be a strong signal as it is hard wired?)

Everything worked fine until 2 days ago when the deco in the shed (which is hard wired remember) didn't have strong wifi signal. I'm unable to make clean zoom calls etc. I thought since it is wired to the telstra router via the cable, it should have strong wifi signal, but it somehow doesnt work. Speed test is like 100mbps, laughable but zoom calls are not working.

I just don't know what to do, customer care are always confusing me, they have this language issue sometimes and the whole system is just useless.

Also in the app in advance settings it says router settings instead of access point?

So if 2 of my decos are hard wired to my internet router, shouldn't I be getting strong wifi?

Hi, welcome to the community.

If there are 2 Deco units connected to the ISP modem/router, you might need to change the "Operation Mode" to "Access Point", which I think might also be why the 2nd satellite still connects to the main Deco via WiFi Backhaul, instead of the Ethernet Backhaul: General questions about Ethernet Backhaul feature on your Deco

By the way, can I have the firmware version of the Deco X50?

Wait for your reply.

Best regards.
